As part of the continuing commitment of the Ayala Young Leaders Alliance (AYLA) and Youth Alliance Philippines (YAP) to empower and educate the Filipino voters, both alliances through YouthVotePhilippines’ nationwide campaign intensify its voters education project among the employees of the Ayala Group of Companies and several communities with 14 days remaining before the May 10, 2010 National and Local Elections. April 10, 2010 – Community Voters Education @ Barangay Pembo, Makati City
Youth Alliance Philippines (YAP) and the Business Associations of Brgy. Pembo, Makati City conducted a voters education seminar on April 10, 2010 as part of the associations’ goal to empower their members towards an informed vote come May 10, 2010. Around 200 owners of small businesses in the barangay attended the seminar to learn how to use the new ballot, counting machine and the new voting process. The voters expressed their concern on shading a little over the small size ovals beside the candidates name of their choice but was clarified with the rules on over and under voting by speakers from YAP.
April 13, 2010 – Voters Education Seminar @ Honda Cars Makati || E-Leksyon Forum
Employees of Honda Cars NCR Branches can now confidently cast their votes on May 10, 2010 after they have gone through with AYLA’s briefing on automated election at Honda Cars Makati Office on April 13, 2010. The seminar was participated by the Human Resources Personnel of different Honda Branches in Metro Manila. Honda’s representatives actively participated in the Open Forum where questions on using the new ballot, PCOS machine and transmission of election results were discussed. On the same day AYLA participated in the ‘e-Leksyon: the 2010 Voter Empowerment Series’ in Loop Studio, ELJ Building. The forum discussed different issues related to national security.
